This simulation allows people with normal hearing to experience how sounds are heard by the hearing impaired and how this can be improved through hearing systems. Simply click on the corresponding symbol to start the sample sounds. For best results, start with the file "Original" first and adjust the volume so you can clearly hear the sample sounds. If you listen to the following samples (without hearing aid, etc.) without changing the volume, you will experience the difficulties caused by hearing impairments as well as the improvements made possible by standard hearing aids and particularly our hi-fi technology.
